The all-digital gaming entertainment event is said to open its doors to registration within the next few weeks, according to a recently issued press release.
Registration for the event is completely free this year—a pleasant decision seeing as the E3 will be entirely online for the second year in a row due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Each individual will have their own customizable profile and avatar and be able to walk around the showcase directly translated onto their screen.
When Does E3 Registration Open?
The short answer is June 3. However, for certain attendees, sign-up can be as early as next Monday, May 31.
The registration will happen in phases with industry professionals, media, notable influencers, and content creators having access to the information days earlier than the general population. For everyone else, the date remains the following Thursday, June 3.
The initial procedure asks users to sign-up via the event's website. Then, they will need to verify their account using both an authenticator app and portal provided by the organization. Afterward, they'll be able to customize their profile and prepare themselves for E3 2021.
For those who can't register or simply don't want to, E3 has provided options for you, as well. Events and panels will be broadcasted via Twitch and YouTube. E3 kicks off on Saturday, June 12, and will run until the following Tuesday, June 15. A schedule of panels and showcases has yet to be released.
