Fortnite players are wondering when does Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 end?
Some fans of Epic Games’ battle royale, Fortnite, are keeping their eyes on the horizon. That is to say, they’re already looking forward to fresh content coming to the island in the next few weeks. Fortunately, thanks to the introduction of the seasonal Battle Pass, they have at least a ballpark figure of when to expect the latest theme to hit Fortnite Island.
Here’s when Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 ends.
When Does Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 End?
UPDATE: Sept. 3, 2021
In a press release, Epic Games announced Season 7's end of season date and event.
Mark your calendars and save the date! The fate of the Island is in your hands in Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 7 grand finale Operation: Sky Fire, starting September 12 at 4:00 PM ET.
According to the Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass, this season will conclude in mid-September, making the launch of Season 8 somewhere around Monday, Sept. 13.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much information currently available about Season 8 or what to expect when it hits. Some players expect Chapter 2 to stick with 10 seasons, but are at a loss about what else could be done with the Zero Point. Then again, when discussing merging realities and dimension-hopping, there isn’t much creatives can’t do.
The reappearance of the elusive “Foundation” has been discussed, as well, though to the exact capacity loopers could see them again remains to be seen. Ultimately, it’s unlikely that players will learn anything significant until Season 8 is closer at hand—likely four weeks from now, at least.
Thanks to the game’s dedicated team of data miners and informants, however, that length of time could be even shorter.
Players can still purchase the Battle Pass for Season 7 from the Item Shop for 950 V-Bucks and doublecheck its ending date.
