The League of Champions Korea season will begin some time in January as the schedule for the spring split has not been released yet. In 2021, the spring split started on Jan. 13 and ended Apr. 10. LCK fans can expect a similar start and end date for the upcoming 2022 season.

LCK teams this last season had showcased their strength at the League of Legends World Championships, but fell short of being the best region in the world after LCK Damwon Kia had lost to LPL's Edward Gaming.

As the 2022 LCK season is just around the corner, fans can expect a lot of excitement as a few 2022 LCK rosters have been announced.

When Does LCK Start in 2022?

Although the official start date of the LCK has yet to be announced, there's a lot to look forward to in 2022. As always, T1 and Damwon have a strong line up.

T1's legendary mid laner, Sang-Hyeok “Faker” Lee, will be returning once again with other players such as Hyeon-Joon "Oner" Moon and Min-Hyeon "Gumayusi" Lee. T1 has also welcomed top laner Woo-Je "Zeus" Choi to the team.

Damwon has also announced their official roster and have brought back their powerful jungler, Geon-Bu "Canyon" Kim along with mid laner Su "ShowMaker" Heo. Both members displayed their incredible skill at the 2021 Worlds finals and are looking to make it back in 2022.

Another team fans should look out for this season are the Afreeca Freecs. Afreeca Freecs have not gained a lot of attention in the LCK, but recently released their 2022 roster. LCK fans are excited to see Afreeca Freecs' performance this year as skillful players and former T1 players, Jin Sung "Teddy" Park, Ho Sun "Hoit" Ryu and El Lim "Ellim" Choi will be playing.
