Overwatch Patch 1.43 Release Date
According to Jeff Kaplan, Vice President of Blizzard Entertainment, Patch 1.43 is expected to go live next week. Recently, Kaplan took to Reddit to quell some rumors in regards to the patch.
"We’ve been seeing quite a bit of misinformation being spread about our December patch (1.43)," Kaplan told Redditors. "The patch is scheduled to go live next week. Short of some unforeseen circumstance causing a delay, we’re expecting to go live with the patch next week. I’m guessing everyone is as excited as we are for the changes to go live as soon as possible along with Winter Wonderland."
As Kaplan mentioned, Patch 1.43 will go live at the same time as Winter Wonderland, Overwatch's incredibly popular Christmas event. In Patch 1.43 itself, the Skirmish mode for waiting in between matches will be removed.
However, Kaplan made it clear that players should expect updates and patches to slow down for the game, as development focus shifts towards Overwatch 2.
