When Does the Pokémon GO Festival of Lights Event Start?

Pokémon GO is gearing up to for the Festival of Lights event, but when do the festivities kick-off?
Pokémon GO's Festival of Lights is a Diwali-inspired event where players are encouraged to rediscover and strengthen bonds with all those around them. As part of the event's bonuses, friendship levels will increase twice as fast, gifts will provide increased rewards, and you’ll be able to open up to 45 Gifts per day.
In addition to this, the event marks the debut of the adorable electric and fairy-type Pokémon, Dedenne. This Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild during the event, along with some other electric-type Pokémon to keep things illuminated.

When Does the Pokemon GO Festival of Lights Event Start?
The Pokémon GO Festival of Lights event is set to start on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
The event is set to run until Nov. 14, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time
For the first few days of the event, a fireworks display will be appearing to brighted up your in-game skies. Players in India will be treated to a few extra bonuses on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time:
- Blitzle and Dedenne will be appearing more frequently in the wild
- 2× Catch Candy
