Some Apex Legends players are missing a mythological map from a few seasons ago.
Have you ever bonded with an in-game map? It's not uncommon. Most veteran players of one franchise or another have a specific location that brings back the fondest memories. Whether it's a specific drop point in Call of Duty, street corner in Overwatch, or cavern from The Elder Scrolls, nearly everyone has that one place in game they can't wait to go back to.
For Apex fans, that place is the Olympus map.
When is Olympus Coming Back to Apex Legends?
Olympus isn't slated to make a comeback for the rest of the season. As long as players are working through the content in Season 11, it's unlikely they'll see the return of Olympus or have a chance to place boots down on this floating city's streets.
Olympus was originally introduced in Season 7. According to the game's lore, it was designed by Lillian Peck, a billionaire humanitarian, in 2640. The city was maintained by a system of computer networks to be widely self-sufficient while it adorned the skies above Psmanthe. Olympus was supposed to be a place of learning, experimentation, and exchange for the most brilliant minds the Outlands had to offer.
In fact, several breakthroughs came directly from those living on Olympus, for example, drone technology to manage health and security, eco-friendly Jump Drives for short-distance travel, and Phase Technology for long-distance. Unfortunately, the latter of these led to the infamous "Phase Runner" incident which caused most of the city's population to flee.
40 years later, Olympus was picked up by Hammond Robotics and turned into a stage for the Apex Games.
Season 11's battle pass ends on Feb. 8, 2022. While DBLTAP cannot confirm a concrete start date for Season 12, it would be fair to assume it would pick up in the hours or days following Feb. 8.
