Players are interested to know about field of view (FOV) sliders for Call of Duty: Vanguard on console devices.
Fortunately, the wait is over. Vanguard has FOV sliders built into it and the sliders have been available since the game launched on Nov. 5, 2021. Vanguard marks the first Call of Duty title to have FOV adjustability on both PC and console, separately — much to the elation of fans who have wanted the ability. Being able to change the FOV can have a variety of advantages, after all, from providing a wider area to survey for enemies, to an artificial zoom-in on targets.
Here's what we know about FOV sliders in Vanguard.
How to Adjust the FOV in Call of Duty: Vanguard on Consoles
Players can find the FOV slider option via the Settings menu. This can be found on the initial loading screen and can be brought up through its corresponding button showcased in the bottom lefthand corner.
In the Settings menu, flip to the Graphics tab and scroll down to Field of View. Its default value is 80 but it can be moved up as high as 120 or down as low as 60. Players are encouraged to pick the best setting for them and their playstyle. It's worth nothing, however, that the FOV setting only toggles on Multiplayer and Zombies modes. While in campaign, FOV is locked at 80.
Players are welcome to play with the other Graphics settings as well, including brightness, depth of field, motion blur and more. There's more to a proper visual setup than just a wide FOV, after all.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is available for Windows PCs, Xbox One/Series S|X, and PlayStation 4/5.
