When will Kirby and the Forgotten Land be released?
After being leaked moments before its official reveal during the Nintendo Direct show on Sept. 23, the next installment in the long line of games centering around the pink, spherical protagonist is set to drop soon. For those wondering when they can finally hop into and explore the game for themselves, here's the latest on the release date information for Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
When Will Kirby and the Forgotten Land Be Released?
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is set to release sometime in Spring 2022 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
The title will be the first in the series to release for the Switch in a its traditional platforming format since Kirby: Star Allies did so back in 2018.
With Kirby and the Forgotten Land, players are invited to embark on something that takes on a tone somewhat not usually taken in the franchise — a 3D platforming adventure through a "mysterious" world littered with ruined cities.
Players are said to be able to take control of the powerful pink puffball, Kirby, and move around "freely" in 3D stages as they discover abandoned structures, malls, streets, buildings and more from a past civilization.
Additionally, they'll be able to copy enemies’ abilities like Sword and Ice and use them to attack and explore Kirby's surroundings.
