New World players are frustrated upon finding the servers down for maintenance.
Like any popular multiplayer online game, New World suffered from a slight server issue in the first few days of its Closed Beta. Players reported connectivity and instability regarding game server health, resulting in some being forcibly ejected from the game and unable to log back in. This can be frustrating, of course, given that the beta period only lasts for so long following the title's official launch on Aug. 31.
Here's how to check on when will the New Word servers be back up.
When Will New World Servers be Back up?
Players can check on the general health of the New World servers and which ones are online by checking the official Server Status webpage maintained by developer Amazon Games. The page includes a tab for every regional mega server and listings for the individual worlds contained on them. Online and functioning worlds are denoted by a green checkmark to the left of their name while worlds currently under maintenance will have a red "X" instead.
At the time of writing, there are only three worlds down:
- Uvici (US East)
- Ivinet (SA East)
- Ephelyn (AP Southeast)
Players can also check out the official New World Twitter account for updates. There, they'll find live reports and warnings for scheduled maintenance times ahead of their shifts.
For their part, Amazon Games has been quick to keep their beta testers and players up to speed on what's happening in New World. Rich Lawrence, Amazon Games' Studio Director, went as far as to post a personal explanation of exactly the problems facing New World on the games' forums.
"We’re on these issues as quickly as possible, and have some further patches in progress that we will test carefully and in more limited use before we patch across the service, that help both with bugs and overall performance," he wrote, "Thanks to everyone in beta for participating in making the game better as we resolve the problems."
New World will officially launch to the public on Aug. 31.
