Finding out who is The Vault in AC: Valhalla can be difficult as players don’t have much to pin a hunch on during the quest.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is broken into several parts, noted as “arcs.” While in Jorvik—during the “Jorvik arc” of the game—players take part in a feast during which they’ll be tasked with uncovering who is “The Vault.” In this case, this person is a member of the Order of the Ancients, and can be any of the suspects present at the feast.

Here’s how to work out the identity of The Vault.

For convenience’s sake, we’ll tell you upfront that The Vault is a man named Audun. Not that this matters, really, as he’ll reveal himself anyway before tragedy breaks out.

Unfortunately, we can’t explain the reasoning without spoiling this quest so we recommend getting back to the game before reading the rest of this article.

The player will learn that the wine present at the feast has been poisoned. Everyone who Eivor is able to speak with at the feast didn’t drink the wine, making them all suspicious. However, after hearing each of their stories, the player will learn that Audun is the only one who ordered the wine and, therefore, was the only one who had access to it before it hit the table.

Conclusion: Audun poisoned the wine.
