Konami has officially unveiled a Silent Hill 2 Remake on their Silent Hill transmission livestream with Bloober Team set to develop the newest game in the horror franchise.

Fans of Konami's Silent Hill franchise rejoiced when a remake of Silent Hill 2 was revealed during the Silent Hill Transmission livestream. Silent Hill 2 follows the story of James Sutherland journeying to the titular Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his recently deceased wife, Mary. Regarded by many as a masterpiece, it comes as no surprise that Konami has chosen to remake the game and update it for modern consoles.

Many fans eager to experience Silent Hill 2 in a new way have one question on their minds: Who did Konami entrust with developing the newest entry into the Silent Hill franchise?

Who's Developing Silent Hill 2 Remake?

Konami announced that Bloober Team, the studio behind games such as Layers of Fear and The Medium, would be the developer behind the Silent Hill 2 remake. This will put to rest any fears fans had on who the developer for Silent Hill 2 would be as Bloober Team has proven themselves to understand what makes a great horror game. Bloober Team will be working closely with Konami to ensure they deliver a game worthy to stand alongside the original Silent Hill 2.
