Why isn't Luigi in Mario Kart Tour? The answer is not easy to decipher.
Mario Kart Tour is the first mobile Mario Kart experience, and it's been met with mixed reviews. Regardless, it's great to get such an iconic franchise on mobile devices, both Android and iOS.
Among some complaints is the absence of Mario's green colored brother Luigi. So, why isn't Luigi in Mario Kart Tour? Here's everything you need to know.

Why Isn't Luigi in Mario Kart Tour?
As of writing, there hasn't been a reason as to why Luigi is missing from the mobile game.
What's even stranger is that Luigi was pictured in a graphic during an announcement tweet. He's pictured waving a checkered racing flag above. He's an iconic character in the franchise and has been a mainstay. He even has his own series, Luigi's Mansion, which is receiving a third iteration on Nintendo Switch.
Some have speculated that Luigi will be included as a downloadable character in the future since Mario Kart Tour is marketed as a "free-to-start" game. Quite frustrating for some who wanted to play as Mario's brother on launch.
Mario Kart Tour is now available on iOS and Android devices.
