Wiccan's Cave AC Valhalla: Treasure Guide
By Jack O'Dwyer
Wiccan's Cave in AC: Valhalla holds one of the Treasures of Britain, a key needed to unlock Excalibur.
Ubisoft implemented several items needed to unlock the legendary sword, Excalibur, originally wielded by the mythical King Arthur Pendragon. The story goes that as a boy, Arthur, the unknowing heir to the throne, was the only one able to pull a magical sword from an anvil atop a stone—identifying him as the crown prince of the kingdom. The legend gets a bit mixed from there on regarding whether the sword was Excalibur, itself, or another sword, Caliburn, which was later reforged into Excalibur by the Lady of the Lake.
Wiccan's Cave AC Valhalla
The Wiccan's Cave is located in the Eurvicscire region, just south of Olikana Tower. It holds the Mysterious Crock and Dish Tablet, as well as several iron deposits to mine. Once completed, the cave will award Eivor with a skill point for their effort.
Entering the cave is simple. Past the threshold, keep right along the ridge until you come to an open area with a single tree. Sitting before it should be an altar with an opal resting on it—no doubt the remnants from a witch's ritual. It's the tree that will prove the most useful, however. Climb it and follow the path of rocks up to the entrance of an icy tunnel.
Entering the tunnel, there should be a rope allowing Eivor to swing across the chasm below and through the hole in the adjacent wall with no issue. Beyond lies a stone that they'll need to vault themselves over. This should open up into a seemingly dead-end area. Fortunately, the journey doesn't end here. Locate the different-looking patch of ice along the wall and shoot it with an arrow to breakthrough.
The hidden cave will reveal a properly build room with treasure just beyond its gate. Unfortunately for Eivor, it'll be a bit of a fight to reach it without having the Incendiary Powder Trap skill to just blast the gate apart. There are two adjacent areas on either side—the left with a pair of oily boars and the right filled with roosters. Players should bear right first.
Roosters have a mob-mentality when aggravated and will attack as a group if provoked. To avoid this, slip through the wooden door, destroy the crates along the wall, and shoot a well-placed arrow at some oil jars through the now-revealed barred "window."
The boars are a bit tougher as they attack on sight. To make things easier, attack from a distance while still in the tunnel to take them out to allow Eivor to blast open the next wall.
Now, finally, Eivor can enter the treasure room and collect the bounty inside. To leave, locate the tunnel just off the room and follow it. There will be a tomb with a chest along the way, so don't forget to loot that, as well, before exiting.
