Widowmaker and Brigitte were both nerfed on all platforms in the latest Overwatch patch. It's not surprising Brigitte continues to be nerfed as she's been notoriously the most broken hero at launch.
It's been a long time since she was released, and countless nerfs have been applied, but she is still targeted every patch. However, Widowmaker's nerf is based on the current meta and the changes to barriers.
Widowmaker and Brigitte Nerfed in Recent Overwatch Patch
Widowmaker's charge time for scoped shots was increased from .75 seconds to .9 seconds. Overwatch developers stated it would, "slow down her shots, and reduce her overall DPS." Widowmaker became too strong once tanks and barriers were nerfed to combat the GOATs meta. She can still wreak havoc on unsuspecting victims, but not at such a high rate.
Brigitte's Repair Pack was the culprit this time. The target was focused on keeping Brigitte the same level as other supports. With her high damage output and stun, she was already a powerful pick. Add the fact she could dish out decent heals and armor, and she was a must pick. This nerf should help keep her in line with the rest of the supports.
- Armor over-heal reduced from 75 armor to 50 armor
- HPS decreased from 60 to 55
