Borderlands 3, the fourth entry in 2K Games and Gearbox Software's popular loot-em-up franchise, was announced March 28. It is the first new Borderlands game to be released in five years. With how the video gaming world has progressed, fans want more and more companies to take the leap and have cross-platform play. Especially considering its success with games like Fortnite and Rocket League.

Will Borderlands 3 be Cross Platform?

As of writing, it's unknown if Borderlands 3 will have cross-platform play. Whether that's between Xbox One and PC, Xbox and PlayStation 4, or any of the different variants.

There was a Microsoft Store listing that claimed Borderlands 3 has cross-platform, but it has since been removed. 2K did say, however, that it is looking at the possibility of the feature to GameSpot. Although, there was no confirmation of the features inclusion.

Borderlands 3 is set to be released Sept. 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
