Will Madden 24 Have Crossplay? Here's What We Know so Far

EA Sports

Madden fans have been wanting crossplay for quite some time and hope that Madden 24 has crossplay come the reveal.

Crossplay has become a prominent feature in video gaming allowing players on one platform to play against another on a different platform. More specifically in the EA Sports realm, FIFA players on Xbox, PC and PlayStation can play against each other with no restrictions. Other games that include crossplay are Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and more. But, Madden players are still without crossplay. An annoyance considering the aforementioned FIFA had it last year and will likely continue to feature it moving forward with EA Sports FC.

According to a tweet from MUTLeaks, there have been some changes made to platform branches. There are now only two branches: Gen4 and Gen5.

Many have speculated that this change indicates a switch to crossplay being a feature in Madden 24. It would be a no-brainer for EA Sports to add it considering how popular of a feature it is in other video game franchises. MUTLeaks indicated that previous iterations had individual patchdata branches for updates like rosters, live content and more. With simplified platform branches, it looks like crossplay is coming in Madden 24.

We'll have to wait for official confirmation later this summer, but signs are pointing toward the requested feature finally getting added.
