Elden Ring fans are desperate to find out if there will be any updates concerning the game at E3 2021.

Elden Ring, the collaborative title featuring the creative talents of Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of Dark Souls, and George R. R. Martin, author of the Game of Thrones series, is one of the most highly anticipated titles heading into 2021. While it was originally announced on June 9, 2019, fans still know precious few details about it.

Could Elden Ring's fan base get some good news this weekend?

Elden Ring Updates at E3

Unfortunately, it looks like Elden Ring fans won't be getting any updates at E3. Sources doubt the title will show up during either the Xbox Showcase or Bandai Namco's broadcast this year. With both Saturday, June 12, and Tuesday, June 15 seemingly out of the picture, will we ever hear anything about the highly anticipated title?

Some fans say yes. New rumors have come to light that Elden Ring will receive its dues during the Summer Game Fest on Thursday, June 10. A few have taken this to mean the game could be up for grabs by this date—however, this is extremely unlikely.

DBLTAP cannot confirm or deny this speculation at the time of writing.

While the chances of an Elden Ring reveal seem pretty bleak, that doesn't necessarily mean the game won't be shown at the convention. It's not uncommon for developers to keep their plans a secret in order to surprise their playerbase.

E3 2021 officially kicks off on Saturday, June 12.
