Wizards Unite Brilliant Event: Back to Hogwarts Week 1
By Jack O'Dwyer

Wizards Unite Brilliant Event, Back to Hogwarts, is in full swing in its first week. It appears Niantic Labs has found success in splitting the events up as a second week is already planned and available to view in-game.
Similar to other Brilliant Events, this event features Brilliant Runestones, Foundables, and Tasks specifically themed around the Wizarding World's favorite school for Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Here's everything you need to know about week one in Wizards Unite.
Keep a lookout for Brilliant Portkey Portmanteaus during the Back To Hogwarts Brilliant Event! By opening these unique Brilliant Portkeys you’ll have a chance to obtain certain Brilliant Foundables, like the Luggage Trolley not found in Traces on the Map! https://t.co/y2zueVt1Cn

Wizards Unite Brilliant Event: Back to Hogwarts
When booting up the game for the first time, you will be greeted by Headmistress McGonagall who informs you that the Hogwarts Express has been taken by a Confoundable. It's your mission to help her get the train back so the students can attend school this semester.
This first week started on Aug. 13 and is expected to run through Aug. 20. As mentioned above, it features new Brilliant Foundables, Runestones, and Tasks centered around the theme of Hogwarts. Cleverly, this is also set up around the time for back to school. How coincidental is that?
The main benefits you can expect are experience points, Restricted Books, and tons upon tons of scrolls to upgrade your professions tree.
Some notable changes for this event would be the switch from needing to brew potions for tasks to needing to consume them. You will also get a couple stickers and lenses for your profile portrait.
You may notice new 3 km Portkeys which specifically transport the player to the Confounded Hogwarts Express and offer Hogwarts Express Foundable fragments.
This week's event lacks a high threat Foundable as almost all of the ones we've encountered have been medium at the highest. This comes as a relief to players who have a bit of a hard time taking down higher level Foundables for their Registry.
Week two of Back to Hogwarts starts Aug. 27.
