World of Warcraft 9.1: 3 Reasons to be Excited

New 10 boss raid, Sanctum of Domination

The Sanctum of Domination is a 10 boss raid located in the heart of Torghast. Incredibly iconic characters like Kel'Thuzad and (finally) Sylvanas Windrunner, a major lore character many players have anticipated fighting.

Mythic-tier loot will go as high as item level 259. Importantly, Shards of Domination will drop from bosses, these shards can be socketed into certain pieces of gear for combat bonuses. The last two encounters of Kel'Thuzad and Sylvanas will always drop a weapon. There's even a chance to get your hands on Sylvanas' iconic bow: Rae'shalare, Death's Whisper.

Sanctum of Domination will open on July 6.

New Megadungeon: Tazavesh, the Veiled Market

A seedy 8 boss Trading City themed instance, Tazavesh, the Veiled Market will release and be ready to drop into on patch day. Similar to BFA's Operation: Mechagon, Tazavesh will be Mythic only, without M+ to start. Eventually, M+ will be added for Tazavesh just as it worked with Operation: Mechagon.

The first half of the dungeon will have players exploring the market itself, while the second half will consist of a grand heist as players chase a broker who steals an important artifact.

New Zone: Korthia, the City of Secrets

The main story content of 9.1 will take place in Korthia, a new outdoor zone that was once inhabited by protectors of The Shadowlands.

The progression of quests in Korthia will somewhat stay in line with building your Renown with your chosen Covenant. A new set of dailies will be thrown in the mix of Korthia, giving you some extra content to complete as you explore what Korthia has to offer.
