World War Z's Best Class
World War Z best class for the player-vs-environment combat is a question tickling players looking to min-max their experience.
World War Z was released April 16 for PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. Based on the 2006 book of the same name, World War Z is set in the universe of the 2013 film adaptation and follows groups of survivors as they attempt to survive the zombie hordes in Moscow, New York, Jerusalem and Tokyo.
With its four-player cooperative campaign through zombie hordes, World War Z looks to serve as the spiritual successor of Valve's Left 4 Dead series. It also features some new gameplay elements to differentiate itself from Left 4 Dead by featuring the inclusion of classes.
Of those six classes, players will be curious which is best equipped to deal with outlasting the undead onslaught.
World War Z Best Class
World War Z has six classes with varying specializations. Their rankings in effectiveness, from worst to best, is as follows:
6. Slasher
The Slasher specializes in melee weapons, focusing on blades and tasers. Having to constantly be within range of the groping zombie hands makes the Slasher suboptimal in most situations.
5. Exterminator
The Exterminator specializes in flames, with focus on molotovs and other fire-starting weapons. The Exterminator's reliance on damage-over-time means that the Exterminator is at risk of being rushed down and damaged before the flames can kill the aggressors.
4. Medic
Near a necessity for new teams, the Medic is useful for healing and boosting teammates. For more experienced teams proficient at not taking damage, the Medic can be subbed out in favor of a class with more firepower.
3. Fixer
The Fixer is a supportive character who provides teammates with explosive ammunition as well as replenishing basic ammunition. The Fixer ensures that teammates will not be at risk of running out of bullets to combat the horde as well as extra firepower in a pinch.
2. Hellraiser
The Hellraiser focuses on explosives such as C4 and grenades. With great crowd control that can take care of large swathes of enemies in an instant, the Hellraiser is excellent at taking care of incoming swarms.
1. Gunslinger
Specializing in weapons with high rate of fire, the Gunslinger is easy to pick up and consistently good at any level of play. Simple but versatile, the Gunslinger will never be out of place on a team.
World War Z features a new cast of voice actors to bring to life the zombie apocalypse, and may possibly release on the Nintendo Switch in the future.
