WoW Shadowlands Release Date

WoW Shadowlands release date is one of the few to come out of BlizzCon 2019 despite a multitude of reveals and announcements. Though there's no specific release date confirmed, Blizzard has given players the window of 2020 in which to expect Shadowlands.

Blizzard revealed World of Warcraft: Shadowlands during the BlizzCon opening ceremony with one of its excellent animated shorts. Game director Ion Hazzikostas addressed the question during his presentation.

Per Hazzikostas, Shadowlands will arrive some time in 2020. Most World of Warcraft expansions tend to release during the summer, so summer 2020 seems a likely release window.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will pick up where Battle for Azeroth leaves off, sending players into the land of the dead to stop Sylvanas from doing… whatever it is she plans to do. It will bring several new zones and new factions called Covenants.
