Microsoft allows players to express their creative sides through Xbox Design Lab. It's a customization website where Xbox players can make the controller of their dreams and share their designs with others. I thought it would be a great idea to share some Xbox Design Lab ideas inspired by popular video game characters.

Players can customize an Xbox Wireless Controller or an Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. I stuck with Xbox Wireless Controllers since they are more affordable. They start at $69, and the other controllers have a base price of $149.

Some Xbox Wireless Controller customization options require players to spend more money. Rubberized back and side grips cost $5.99 more. Metallic triggers and D-Pads add $3.99 per customization.

I wanted to include a variety of familiar faces from different genres. Gamers will recognize the color schemes of many iconic characters, from the famous Italian plumber to everyone's favorite yellow Shih Tzu.
