Xbox and third-party development studio Brass Lion Entertainment are developing an action RPG set to have a soundtrack by the Wu-Tang Clan, per reports from Windows Central and GamesBeat's Decides podcast.

Project Shaolin, as the game is codenamed, will be a third-person, up-to-four-player co-op action RPG focusing on melee combat and using an anime-inspired aesthetic. The campaign is said to last a few dozen hours, and will involve players collecting loot. The game will also receive live service updates and include end-game dungeons.

Project Shaolin also appeared in the Nvidia data base leak that revealed both the God of War PC port and the GTA Trilogy remaster last month.

Brass Lion Entertainment's president and chief visionary officer, Manveer Heir, shared a job posting in September for an "unannounced action-RPG with a dope anime aesthetic," which appears to corroborate the Windows Central and GamesBeat reports. Heir co-founded Brass Lion in 2017 with industry veterans that previously worked on games such as Mass Effect 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Sleeping Dogs.

Neither Xbox nor Brass Lion has commented on the reports, leaving the game's existence unconfirmed. The reports don't detail how long Project Shaolin has been in development, or when we might expect an announcement.
