Yamper's evolution, spawn location, and statistics were unveiled when the game launched Friday. Pokemon Sword news is all around these days, with a lot of it settling on the adorably sweet-looking Yamper. It doesn't take much to find a tweet or Instagram post obsessed with the little rascal.

From what we know of Yamper, he only has one step in his evolutionary line, which he unlocks at level 25 (according to pokemondb). We haven't gotten a great look at Boltund yet. But if series trends repeat themselves, expect this tiny pup's lazy smile to turn into a serious battle-ready snarl.

Whether you're playing Sword or Shield, you can find Yamper in the wild around Routes 2 and 4, as well as Giant's Mirror, Stony Wilderness, and the Monostoke Riverbank.

Yamper Stats Pokémon Sword and Shield

Yamper is an Electric Puppy Pokemon, who starts with 59 base health, 45, and 50 for ATK and DEF respectively. For SP ATK and SP DEF, it clocks in at 40 and 50, boasting a SPD of 26.
