Death Stranding 2 main cast list – DS2
This is every primary cast actor – including special appearances – in Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.
Sam Porter Bridges
- Actor: Norman Reedus
Norman Reedus, best known for The Walking Dead, takes the lead role in Death Stranding 2, just as he did in the original. His portrayal of Sam here is more grounded and emotive than in the first game, and he manages to vanish into the role in a way he didn’t in the original.
Fragile
- Actor: Léa Seydoux
The amazing Léa Seydoux returns to play Fragile, who has a much more involved role this time around, now leading Drawbridge and the DHV Magellan which Sam uses as a home base. Seydoux may be best known for Blue Is the Warmest Colour.
Tomorrow
- Actor: Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning is a new addition to the cast, and plays the naive and innocent Tomorrow, whom the crew comes across after an encounter with the other side. Elle is the younger sister of Dakota Fanning, but is an accomplished actor in her own right, and is known for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Maleficent.
Rainy
- Actor: Shioli KutsunaMarty Rhone
You might recognize Rainy’s actress, Shioli Kutsuna, from Deadpool 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine where she portrays Yukio. She’s a much more recognizable celebrity in Japan, but is capable of acting and performing in both English and Japanese, where applicable. In DS2, she provides voice acting for Rainy in both languages.
Neil Vana
- Actor: Luca Marinelli
Marinelli is an Italian actor that currently lives in Berlin and is best known for The Old Guard and Mussolini: Son of the Century. In DS2 he plays Neil Vana, the mysterious soldier that appears from the tar to oppose Sam. Sam doesn’t recognize him, but they share a connection.
Higgs

Likely best known for Joel in The Last of Us or Indy in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (though I know him because of Tales of Vesperia), Troy Baker is one of video games’ most prolific actors.
Tarman

George Miller is an acclaimed Australian filmmaker, and is best known for creating and directing the entire Mad Max franchise. Kojima is a big fan, which is why he has been scanned to represent Tarman.

Dollman

- Actor: Jonathan Roumie
American actor Jonathan Roumie voices and performs the role of Dollman throughout the game, and as Sam’s new sidekick, you’ll be hearing him a lot. He’s best known for playing Jesus himself in The Chosen TV series and Lonnie Frisbee in Jesus Revolution.
Heartman
- Special Appearance: Nicolas Winding Refn
Danish writer and director Winding Refn is best known for Drive, Valhalla Rising, and Too Old to Die Young. His family also appears in the game several times as cameos.
- Actor: Darren Jacobs
English actor Darren Jacobs reprises the role of Heartman, though you may have heard his voice in titles like DC: Dark Legion, Starfield, Genshin Impact, and more.
Deadman
- Special Appearance: Guillermo Del Toro
Iconic Mexican filmmaker Del Toro needs no introduction. You’ve probably already seen movies he’s written such as Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, Pinocchio, and The Shape of Water.
- Actor: Jesse Corti
Jesse Corti isn’t the biggest name in video games, but you’ve almost certainly played games he’s starred in. He’s the village chief Bitores Mendez in the original Resident Evil 4, appears in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Portable Ops, and Peace Walker, is Gongora in Lost Odyssey, and has appeared in anime, TV, and movies like Zootropolis and and Beauty and the Beast. A true professional.
Charlie/Die-Hardman
- Actor: Tommie Earl Jenkins
Charlie takes on the voice of Death Stranding’s Die-Hardman, which Tommie Earl Jenkins returns for. Earl Jenkins is another prolific actor with roles in movies, TV, and video games, including Wednesday, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, Oblivion Remastered, Starfield, Guild Wars 2, and many more.
Mama/Lockne
- Actor: Margaret Qualley
Mama and Lockne don’t feature too much in this sequel, but they are still portrayed by the talented Margaret Qualley. Qualley is best known for Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Kenzo: Kenzo World, and Poor Things.
Lucy
- Actor: Alissa Jung
Jung plays Lucy in Death Stranding 2, a character with significant story significance. Jung is an experienced actor for German TV series, and is married to Neil Vana’s actor Luca Marinelli — whom she plays opposite.
Amelie/Bridget Strand
- Actor: Lindsay Wagner
Lindsay Wagner doesn’t appear in the sequel much, but still reprises her role as Amelie from the original game. She first rose to prominence in the ‘70s thanks to starring roles in The Paper Chase and The Bionic Woman.

Bond rose to prominence after the success of the 2016 TV series Boyband, and has since appeared in dozens of small roles on TV.
