Genshin Impact has introduced a system to obtain additional 5-Star character Constellations in its Luna I update. This is not only designed to help players boost the power level of their roster, but aids them in upgrading Genshin Impact characters to level 100 following the raise of the old level cap.

Called To Temper Thyself and Journey Far, this event revolves around being active in-game over longer periods of time.

To Temper Thyself and Journey Far: How it works

Here’s a breakdown of how To Temper Thyself and Journey Far works in Genshin Impact:

  1. Complete Daily Training Goals five times in one week to complete Weekly Training Goals.
  2. Complete Weekly Training Goals eight times to unlock all rewards from the current stage.

To complete Daily Training Goals, you’ll need to spend 120 Original Resin and claim rewards from four Daily Commissions on a single day. As stated above, doing this five times a week completes the Weekly Training Goals, unlocking the week’s rewards from the list below.

Here’s a list of all the rewards available from one stage of To Temper Thyself and Journey Far:

  • Week 1: Mystic Enhancement Ore x20
  • Week 2: Crown of Insight x1
  • Week 3: Hero’s Wit x10
  • Week 4: Sanctifying Elixir x1
  • Week 5: Mora x100,000
  • Week 6: Dust of Enlightenment x1
  • Week 7: Sanctifying Essence x5
  • Week 8: Stella Fortuna x1

You can select any eligible character from your roster to receive the Stella Fortuna from this event.

You can repeat this cycle up to four times a year, but there are some limitations: All characters can only receive Stella Fortuna through this system once. You can’t repeatedly select the same character and maximize their Constellation level this way.

From how the rules are worded, it looks like the yearly reset of obtainable Stellae Fortunae will not reset the character selection either. The event rules explicitly state that you can’t obtain Stella Fortuna “for characters who have already obtained a Stella Fortuna from past ‘To Temper Thyself and Journey Far’ events.”

You are allowed to choose a character who’s already on the highest Constellation level, which will grant you Masterless Stella Fortuna, the material needed to increase the level cap of your characters — but again, this only works once per character.
