Honkai: Star Rail – Jingliu build and ascension guide
By Marco Wutz

Show the world what the former Sword Champion of the Luofu can do with the best Honkai: Star Rail Jingliu build. Though branded a traitor to the Xianzhou after having fallen to the Mara, Jingliu seems to have found a way back to something akin to normalcy. She’s a follower of the Path of The Destruction and deals Ice DMG, consuming the HP of her allies to fuel her way of combat.
Table of Contents
Her Skill, Transcendent Flash, deals Ice DMG based on Jingliu’s Max HP to a single target, creating one stack of Syzygy.
Jingliu’s Ultimate, Florephemeral Dreamflux, deals Ice DMG based on Jingliu’s Max HP to a single target, blasting it to adjacent enemies and creating one stack of Syzygy.
Once Jingliu has amassed two stacks of Syzygy, her Talent, Crescent Transmigration, comes into play. This allows her to enter the Spectral Transmigration state, advancing her action by 100% and boosting her CRIT Rate. She also gains another stack of Syzygy and can store four instead of three Syzygy stacks.
In this state, Jingliu gains the Enhanced Skill Moon On Glacial River and can’t use any other ability. Moon On Glacial River is an attack that consumes the HP of Jingliu’s allies, gaining up to five stacks of a CRIT DMG buff whenever allies lose HP. This Skill deals Ice DMG to a single target based on Jingliu’s Max HP, blasting damage to adjacent opponents and consuming one stack of Syzygy.
One of Jingliu’s Traces allows her next attack to partially ignore the enemy’s DEF when she gains a stack of Syzygy while she’s already at her maximum capacity.
Jingliu’s Eidolon Levels, which are unlocked by getting additional copies of her, further improve her abilities. Level 1 allows her Ultimate and Enhanced Skill to deal additional damage when only a single target is available in addition to increasing her CRIT DMG. Level 2 boosts the damage of the next Enhanced Skill use after activating her Ultimate. Level 4 increases the CRIT DMG gained from consuming the HP of allies. Level 6 allows Jingliu to obtain two stacks of Syzygy when entering the Spectral Transmigration state, increasing her Ice RES PEN in that state.
Honkai: Star Rail – Jingliu: best Light Cones
Jingliu is all about the offensive, which means that boosting her CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG is a great idea. Her signature Light Cone, I Shall Be My Own Sword, does exactly that, increasing her CRIT DMG. It synergizes with the HP consumption mechanic as well: When an ally gets attacked or loses HP, the wearer gains one stack of Eclipse with three stacks being the maximum. Each stack boosts the damage of the wearer’s next attack. If the stacks are maxed out, this buffed attack partially ignores the target’s DEF.

Honkai: Star Rail – Jingliu: best Relics
As mentioned above, CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are two of the prime stats you want to boost on Jingliu. All of her attacks scale with Max HP, making it incredibly crucial to her damage output as well. SPD is equally important, allowing her to take her turns early.
Jingliu should provide good enough Energy Regeneration to herself via one of her Traces, but if you feel like you can’t generate enough Syzygy with the rate of your Ultimates, then you can get an Energy Regeneration Link Rope going.
Best Relic Sets for Jingliu in HSR:
- Scholar Lost in Erudition (4) – +8% CRIT Rate, +20% Skill and Ultimate DMG, +25% Skill DMG in addition to that for the next Skill use following an Ultimate.

Honkai: Star Rail – Jingliu: best teams
Jingliu definitely wants a good amount of sustain on her team due to consuming her allies’ HP, which is also useful to trigger the abilities of certain other characters.
- Castorice (Main DPS), Jingliu (Sub DPS), Tribbie (Support), Hyacine (Support)
Jingliu is a solid Sub DPS for Castorice, as she benefits from any additional HP loss of her own team. Tribbie and Hyacine are the best Support characters for the team in that composition, as they are both centered around HP-based gameplay as well.
You could also play this composition with Blade as the Main DPS for another dual-DPS set-up. If you’re running Longevous Disciple, then Jade is an option to accompany Jingliu as a Sub DPS.
- Jingliu (Main DPS), Sunday (Support), Ruan Mei (Support), Huohuo (Support)
Sunday and Huohuo can work together to rapidly restore Jingliu’s Energy, allowing her to make use of her Ultimate more often and increasing her damage output. Ruan Mei helps with several offensive boosts and keeps the enemy vulnerable thanks to her own Ultimate.
Turn-manipulating Supports like Trailblazer (Remembrance), Bronya, and Sparkle are welcome alternatives.
