Honkai: Star Rail – Seele build and ascension guide
By Marco Wutz

The best Honkai: Star Rail Seele build focuses on the character’s offensive capabilities, giving you a truly lethal tool to use against any enemies you may encounter. The Underworld girl from below Belobog is a deadly opponent for anyone daring to face her. Following The Hunt, Seele is specialized at dishing out Quantum DMG against single targets.
Table of Contents
Her Skill, Sheathed Blade, deals Quantum DMG based on her ATK to a single target, boosting her SPD for two turns.
Seele’s Ultimate, Butterfly Flurry, allows her to enter the Amplification state and deal Quantum DMG based on her ATK to a single target. The Amplification state lasts one turn and allows all attacks to deal additional damage.
In addition to activating her Ultimate, Seele can enter Amplification by defeating an enemy with her Basic Attack, Skill, and Ultimate. Her Talent, Resurgence, grants Seele an immediate extra turn upon defeating an enemy — this is not repeatable by defeating an enemy on the extra turn, though.
Pulling additional copies of Seele allows you to maximize her Eidolon Level. Level 1 boosts her CRIT Rate when attacking targets with less than 80% of their HP, while Level 2 allows the SPD boost from her Skill to stack up to two times. Level 4 regenerates additional Energy for her upon defeating an enemy. Level 6 inflicts Butterfly Flurry on the enemy hit by her Ultimate for a turn, making them take additional damage based on Seele’s Ultimate DMG whenever they’re hit.
Honkai: Star Rail – Seele: best Light Cones
Seele ultimately wants as much ATK, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG as she can get. Her signature Light Cone, In the Night, delivers on that front: It boosts the wearer’s CRIT Rate and increases their ATK, Skill DMG, and Ultimate CRIT DMG for every ten points of SPD above 100, counting up to six boosts.

- Cruising in the Stellar Sea (5-Star)

Honkai: Star Rail – Seele: best Relics
In addition to ATK, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG, Seele will want a good amount of SPD. This is especially true if she uses her signature Light Cone, but can be regarded as a general rule for her.

Honkai: Star Rail – Seele: best teams
Seele remains a fun Main DPS to play with, as her kit can build up a lot of momentum and big damage numbers.
- Seele (Main DPS), Bronya (Support), Sunday (Support), Huohuo (Healer)
This team focuses all of its attention on Seele with Bronya and Sunday bequeathing buffs and extra turns on her to maximize her damage output. Huohuo keeps the team healthy, boosts its ATK, and restores everyone’s Energy.
- Seele (Main DPS), Sparkle (Support), Silver Wolf (Support), Fu Xuan (Support)
A variation of the Qingque Mono-Quantum team, this composition has Silver Wolf implant the Quantum Weakness on enemies, allowing Seele to always fully benefit from her Relic Set. Fu Xuan keeps the team alive and provides buffs, while Sparkle bolsters Seele’s damage output and restores Skill Points for the team, allowing both Seele and Silver Wolf to spam their Skills.

Honkai: Star Rail – Seele: ascension materials
Here’s everything you need to know to get Seele ascended to the maximum level and upgrade all of her talents.
Seele requires the following ascension materials to get to level 80 in addition to the necessary XP:
- Credits x308,000
- Thief’s Instinct x15
- Usurper’s Scheme x15
- Conqueror’s Will x15

You can collect Thief’s Instinct, Usurper’s Scheme, and Conqueror’s Will from enemies in Herta Space Station’s Storage and Supply Zones as well as the Simulated Universe. You can create or exchange them through the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express, too. Thief’s Instinct is one of the materials you can easily farm through the Daily Assignments to your characters, making for a steady income of the material. Void Cast Iron is dropped by the Stagnant Shadow (Base Zone). The best source of Credits are the Golden Calyxes found on many worlds.
Seele requires the following materials to upgrade her combat abilities and Traces:
- Credits x3,000,000
- Thief’s Instinct x41
- Usurper’s Scheme x56
- Conqueror’s Will x58
- Arrow of the Beast Hunter x18

As usual, you can create the high-level materials by using up lower-level materials in the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express.
Guardian’s Lament is rarer material only gained from the Echo of War (Everwinter Hill) domain, while Tracks of Destiny can be obtained during time-limited events, the Embers Exchange, the Nameless Honor, or as a Simulated Universe Points Reward.
