Persona 5: The Phantom X upcoming banner schedule
By Ryan Woodrow

With the global release of P5X seemingly running updates a lot quicker than the Chinese version did when it first launched, there has been a lot of speculation over whether we’ll be seeing the limited-time banners come around faster, too. Naturally, there are a bunch of highly anticipated characters on their way, from original members of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts to the original characters we’ve already gotten to know in-game, and people want to know what they should be saving up all their currency for.
We’ve got a rundown of what the upcoming banners are expected to be up until Version 2.0, along with when they’re expected to run. Note that these days are not set in stone, and may shift a bit as the update schedule unfolds – for more on that, check out our rundown of the P5X update roadmap.
Contents
Makoto Niijima – August 3 - September 4
You won’t have to wait long for the next Phantom Thief to be added either, as Makoto will be quickly following Yusuke as a part of the Version 1.3 update. Makoto will be a Nuke-element Assassin-class unit, no doubt able to unleash powerful strikes on solo targets that stand in her way.
Chizuko Nagao – August 3
Alongside Makoto, our next original character Phantom Idol will be added. Chizuko is a fun one too, as she’s an old lady rather than a teenager, which is a first for the Phantom Thieves. She’s also the first new 4-Star that will be added, as all of the others up until now have been 5-Star pulls, so you’ll have better odds of pulling her. Chizuko will be a Nuke-element Saboteur-class unit, meaning that she focuses on debuffing enemies, leaving them wide open for her allies to strike – it looks like she will synergize very well with Makoto.
Yumi Shiina – August 21 - September 22
Despite not being in the game in any capacity yet, Yumi is already a highly sought-after character, as she is the person who will unlock the Milk Tea recipe in P5X, which will give you more City Life actions when you make it. That’s just one thing that makes her a very strong Navigator-class unit though, focusing on skills that increase your team’s damage output.
Ayaka Sakai – September 8
Ayaka is a character you may have already encountered without realizing it, as she is the young busker girl who can occasionally be found performing in Station Square. She’ll be added in the Version 2.0 update as a 5-Star Phantom Idol. She will be a Lightning-element Strategist-class unit, which means she focuses on buffing the party to unleash their full potential.
Riko Tanemura – September 8
Version 2.0 will also see Chapter 3 of the main story begin, which will see Riko officially join up with the main party as a Phantom Thief. It’s not exactly a secret, as she’s been all over the game’s marketing in her gear, so it’ll be exciting to finally get to have her on board for the third Palace. She will be a 4-Star, Navigator-class, so the party is going to be relying on her to boost their power.
