Umamusume Golshi Mode explained

Learn what this new setting changes for your career runs.
Cygames

Cygames has enabled a new option when starting a career in Umamusume: Pretty Derby — Golshi Mode. Since the game’s most unhinged and infamous horse girl is its poster girl, you pretty much get the idea of what to expect from this setting immediately.

Basically, Golshi Mode is a higher difficulty setting for career playthroughs, which increases the stats of the opponents you face in races and therefore makes it a bit harder to achieve the objectives your Trainee is aiming for.

If you’re still a beginner struggling to reach the URA Finals and complete careers with the good ending, then you should stick to Normal Mode for the time being. However, if you are confident in your grasp of the game and regularly complete careers successfully, then it’s a great time to dive into Golshi Mode, since it provides extra rewards — and those additional resources are a valuable boost to your account, allowing you to raise the Potential of your Umamusume or get those Support Cards leveled up.

Make sure to catch the Golshi Week event running in Umamusume from August 7 to 22, 2025, since it comes with generous login bonuses and tons of special missions that provide resources and even Gold Ship Star Pieces.
