ZZZ Suibian Temple Restoration: How to manage and upgrade the temple
By Marco Wutz

Suibian Temple is at the heart of Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 — it is the new home of Belle and Wise as well as their base of operations while they’re under the tutelage of Yixuan to master their new powers. However, the temple has seen better days. With many of its members having fallen to a Hollow disaster some years ago, Yixuan has recruited new pupils to Yunkui Summit, but wasn’t able – or willing – to get Suibian Temple up to speed.

However, the Proxies are proven business geniuses and Ju Fufu quickly enlists their help to get the temple restored. Suibian Temple Restoration is tied into the main story quest of ZZZ 2.0 and provides players with a brand-new management minigame to dive into in addition to their duties over at Random Play, the Proxies’ video store.
Learn how to manage and restore Suibian Temple in ZZZ below.
How to raise Suibian Temple’s Restoration Level
The main goal of this mode is to increase Suibian Temple’s Restoration Level, which unlocks a variety of shops in the Failume Heights, visually upgrades Suibian Temple, and nets you lots of rewards.
Every Restoration Level has certain unlock conditions, often a combination of earning a specific amount of Cloud Crests, crafting certain goods, completing Commissions, and so forth. All of it requires engaging with the mode’s core gameplay loop, which looks as follows:
- Assign Bangboo to Adventures, which will yield raw resources.
- Assign Bangboo to Crafting, which will yield crafted goods.
- Assign Bangboo to Selling, which will bring in Cloud Crests.
In short: Suibian Temple Restoration is an automation and management game and the more stuff you make and sell the more prosperous the temple will become.
How to get crafting resources in Suibian Temple Restoration
There are two sources for raw resources in Suibian Temple Restoration: Bangboo Adventures and the Good Goods shop.
Bangboo Adventures
You can launch Bangboo Adventures at Suibian Temple. First, select the area you want your expedition to head to. Second, choose how long the expedition will take. Third, select one or several Bangboo to take part in the adventure.
Different areas will yield different resources, so you should always check what you need for the goods you currently want to produce and choose your destinations based on that. Sometimes, Suibian Temple Restoration Levels will list adventures into specific areas as an unlock condition, so that’s another thing to keep in mind. The longer an expedition takes and the more Bangboo you assign, the more loot they’ll bring back — but they’ll also use up more of their Battery.
Exploring an area with Bangboo for the first time will provide you with a Discovery Resource, which can be used to unlock new goods to craft and sell.
Good Goods
Good Goods is one of the shops you’ll unlock as you progress through the game. It not only has crucial items like additional shelves in store, which you’ll need to expand your sales capacity, but allows you to exchange Hollow Resources for additional crafting resources. Good Goods’ stocks of these resources are refreshed on a weekly basis.
Hollow Resources are found during Hollow Exploration and you can simply pick them up from the map, similar to how things work in titles like Genshin Impact. Small resource nodes refresh two real-time days after being exploited, but large resource nodes (marked on the map by three golden metal bars) can only be looted once and do not respawn. There is also a daily gathering limit for each Hollow Resource.
Additionally, Good Goods sells Bangboo batteries, which increase a Bangboo’s Battery Life, its skill in adventuring, crafting, or selling, and unlock useful traits.
How to craft goods in Suibian Temple Restoration
Using the Discovery Resource found during first-time explorations, you’ll unlock crafting recipes. In the crafting tab, you can then assign a Bangboo to oversee the crafting process as well as the goods you want it to work on and the amount you’re ordering.
Similar to Bangboo Adventures, ordering more goods costs more Battery Life — and, of course, you’ll need to have the necessary amount of raw resources. At first, the game will want you to manually collect crafted resources before you can do anything with them, but you’ll soon unlock automation functions as you level up the temple, which will greatly lower your workload.
You need to craft goods to sell, complete Commissions, and raise Suibian Temple’s Restoration Level.
Yum Cha Sin
Yum Cha Sin, the local teahouse, is where you’ll be able to accept and complete Commissions related to Suibian Temple. Some require you to craft and submit certain resources, others have small quests in the Hollow in store. Finishing these Commissions sometimes is necessary to raise Suibian Temple’s Restoration Level and always nets you additional resources, such as Omnicoins.
Devon Pawnshop
Omnicoins, in turn, can be exchanged for rewards at Devon Pawnshop. You’ll find Prepaid Power Cards, which can be used to skip HDD Commissions, as well as Polychromes and other materials here.
How to sell goods in Suibian Temple Restoration
Once you’ve got goods in production, you can select a Bangboo to sell them. You’ll start out with one shelf, but increasing Suibian Temple’s Restoration Level will allow you to purchase additional shelves at Good Goods to increase your sales capacity.
Sales will generate Cloud Crests, the base currency of the temple economy. Sometimes, there will be different sales trends for a limited time, increasing the price of certain items, so it’s good to keep an eye on that and adapt your sales strategy accordingly.
While your Bangboo is selling goods, a limited number of Cloud Crests will spawn in the selling tab, which you can gather by clicking on them — they provide an extra revenue boost and give you some idle game-esque satisfaction.
BooBox
Cloud Crests can be used at Good Goods, but they also net you new Bangboo at BooBox. Increasing your workforce and obtaining rarer Bangboo with better abilities will help you with your management tasks, as it makes work at the temple more efficient.
This all may sound like it’ll need tons of time investment, but don’t worry too much about it — you can send your Bangboo out on gathering expeditions for 20 hours, so checking by once a day to assign them target areas and make your production as well as sales orders for that time is all you really need to do.
