Battlefield 6 reveal trailer shows first in-game footage
By Marco Wutz

The reveal trailer for Battlefield 6 is finally live and presented fans with their first official glimpse of the upcoming shooter. A multiplayer reveal will happen on July 31, 2025.
BF6 appears to be depicting an invasion of the American mainland as well as other NATO allies by a mercenary force called Pax Armata, so the narrative background of the title is not going to be an outright conflict between nation states.
Battlefield 6 is a joint development project between DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect — a team-up which EA hopes will give Battlefield 6 the same live-service staying power Activision has created for Call of Duty by putting a majority of its studios and manpower to work on the IP.
Playtests for the game have been running for several months, supplying the development team with a consistent stream of data and feedback about the state of the game. EA hopes that BF6 will return the series to its glory days following a couple of rough releases and an identity crisis.
EA has previously confirmed that an upcoming BF6 beta will feature playlists with open as well as class-based weapon systems.
EA has not officially confirmed Battlefield 6’s release date, but a reliable leaker suggested that the game will launch in October 2025. The game will come to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
