Battlefield 6 rewards are available in BF2042’s latest update

The open beta for Battlefield 6 is behind us, leaving a majority of the fanbase optimistic about the upcoming shooter’s launch later this year — but it also left a hole in the schedules of many players. EA and DICE seem to hope that Battlefield 2042 might be able to satisfy that craving, delivering a free update to the game in which players can earn exclusive rewards for BF6.
A free battle pass available in BF2042 from August 18 to October 7, 2025, contains over 20 items usable in BF6 in addition to more than 50 rewards for the current iteration of the series.
Players can also use the newly added KFS2000 and LYNX Sniper Rifle in BF2042 alongside the iconic A10 Warthog and SU-25TM Frogfoot, which are rejoining the battle from the vault.
As a final treat, the free update brings a reimagined version of fan-favorite map Iwo Jima into the game — advance through trenches, fight inside a network of caves and tunnels, and conquer an impregnable-looking mountain fortress throning over the battlefield.
Battlefield 6 is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 10, 2025.
