Battlefield 6 release date and open beta start confirmed
By Marco Wutz

Battlefield 6 will be released on October 10, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, which has confirmed a previous leak. A Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game is not being planned at the moment.
Additionally, EA announced two open beta weekends for Battlefield 6, which will take place from August 9 to 10 and August 14 to 17, 2025. Players can gain access to the first beta weekend up to two days early by winning raffles held by content creators.
Participating in the open beta weekends will allow players to unlock cosmetics for the full game — and not to worry: The available items all look appropriately grounded, as BF6 wants to avoid goofy skins.
The open beta will be an important test, as EA intends to offer two different ways to play the title — with the completely open weapon system EA favors and the class-based system old-school fans want.
BF6 will be available in a Standard or Phantom Edition, which both grant cosmetics as pre-order bonuses. The Phantom Edition additionally contains a package of themed cosmetics.
