Battlefield 6 server capacity increase is on the way as queues get longer
By Marco Wutz

EA and DICE certainly couldn’t ask for more hype than Battlefield 6 is already getting, but that popularity – as always – comes with a price: long server queues. Players have logged into the BF6 beta even before the servers went up, hoping to be among the first to test the game, and the servers have been overwhelmed with the amount of users trying to get into matches, even though the actual “open” part of the open beta is not kicking off until August 9, 2025.
Fortunately, EA is reacting quickly: “The team is now working on a substantial increase in server capacity, which will reduce your time in the queue. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to get as many of you into the game as soon as possible. We're looking forward to seeing you experience Battlefield 6, and we appreciate your patience!”
Preparations for this scenario have been made beforehand with EA stating that queues would be implemented to manage the initial onslaught. However, it looks like the high interest caught the developers off guard nevertheless, because they expected “this impact to be minimal” prior to servers opening.
The first half of the BF6 beta for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S kicked off today for everyone with Early Access — either through pre-ordering the BF6 Phantom Edition, being a previous tester, or winning a code from raffles. Servers will open up to the public fully on Saturday.
