Eldritch turn-based RPG Chaos Zero Nightmare gets second gameplay trailer
By Marco Wutz

Enjoyers of open-world RPGs with gacha mechanics are feasting with upcoming games like NTE, Silver Palace, Azur Promilia, and Arknights: Endfield joining the likes of Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves, but what about the turn-based variety?
Well, we won’t starve either: Chaos Zero Nightmare, an upcoming turn-based gacha game that’s best described as Reverse: 1999 and Limbus Company having a Darkest Dungeon-influenced baby, finally got another gameplay trailer and will soon open its pre-registration.
Developed by Super Creative and published by Smilegate, the duo behind Epic Seven, the title aims to join other South Korean gacha successes such as Goddess of Victory: Nikke and Blue Archive.
Set in a dark, post-apocalyptic sci-fi world, Chaos Zero Nightmare is a gacha game that features a turn- and card-based combat system. Players create parties from three characters, all of which come with five unique attack and skill cards making up your deck.
Similarities to Darkest Dungeon not only exist in terms of aesthetics and the Eldritch theme — a sanity system not unlike the one present in the popular roguelite game seems to be in place. Its characters are represented as chibi-style figures in combat itself, reminiscent of Reverse: 1999, and have anime-style Ultimate animations.
Players can “embrace despair” in July 2025, when pre-registration for the game begins. Chaos Zero Nightmare is set to be released on PC, iOS, and Android.
