Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is getting a free DLC with new story
By Ryan Woodrow

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a clear frontrunner for game of the year in 2025, receiving critical acclaim across the board, including from us in our Expedition 33 review. It’s now sold 5 million copies worldwide, and to celebrate, the team at Sandfall Interactive has some news to share.
While we didn’t get any hints as to when, the team has confirmed that Expedition 33 will be getting a major new update soon that will give us, among other things, a new area to explore with brand new story content, which is extremely exciting for a story-heavy game like this one. Exactly what this new story content will focus on, we don’t yet know, but the teaser image we saw features what looks like Verso’s childhood bedroom. Along with this, Verso’s English voice actor, Ben Starr, has put out a tweet saying he’s having “one last very small session as Verso”, so we’ll see how that plays out.
THANK YOU, from @SandfallGames!

Along with this, Sandfall has promised some new, challenging late-game bosses. Given some of the ridiculously hard bosses that were in the base game, it’s exciting to see exactly what kind of wild ideas he team can come up with next. On top of that will be new costumes for all the characters and a host of new supported languages, giving us 19 total.
Since we didn’t get any idea of a date though, we’ll just have to sit tight.
