EA confirms Battlefield 6 title and reveal date

Fans have been calling the next Battlefield game Battlefield 6 for the sake of simplicity and it looks like EA is fully on board with this — the publisher confirmed that the shooter will indeed carry the title Battlefield 6.

Additionally, EA confirmed that a reveal trailer for Battlefield 6 will be published on July 24, 2025, on the series’ YouTube channel. We’ve embedded the video premiere, which is set to go live at 7:57am PDT / 10:57am EDT / 4:57pm CEST, below.

Battlefield 6 is targeting a release before March 2026, though an open beta is planned to take place before that. According to EA, the test will feature playlists with open and class-based weapon systems, allowing fans to experience the game in two different ways.

EA has an entire group of studios working on the game with relatively large playtests happening throughout recent months to gather as much data and feedback as possible. The upcoming title is hoped to return the series to its glory days following the awful reception of Battlefield 2042.
