Every announcement at Capcom’s Tokyo Games Show 2025 Online Special Program stream
By Dave Aubrey

Tokyo Games Show kicks off properly on September 25, but today we’re getting treated to two special game showcases from big publishers. PlayStation’s State of Play is coming later, but Capcom’s Online Special Program has already been broadcast, and we’re rounding up all of the announcements that you need to know.
It wasn’t the most exciting stream in the world, but new updates have been announced for games like Monster Hunter Wilds and Ace Attorney Trilogy, and we’re also seeing more of upcoming titles such as Resident Evil 9, Pragmata, and Onimusha.
Every Capcom TGS 2025 announcement
- New Pragmata gameplay trailer
- Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection announced
- C. Viper in Street Fighter 6 gameplay trailer and more
- Ace Attorney Trilogy gets a big content update
- Resident Evil 7, 8, and 9 launching on the same day on Nintendo Switch 2
- Onimusha: The Way of the Sword new trailer
- Monster Hunter Wilds X Final Fantasy XIV looks good actually
- Monster Hunter Stories 3 looks good in new trailer
New Pragmata gameplay trailer
Pragmata is half action-shooter, and half a puzzle game — but you play those two halves at the same time. It’s hard to say how good it’s actually going to be, but we’re excited to play Pragmata when it launches in 2026 on Xbox Series, PS5, and Steam.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection announced
I was a Battle Network kid, so I don’t have much nostalgia for Mega Man Star Force, but if you were a fan of the three Mega Man Star Force games – and the various versions, seven in total – then you’ll be happy to see the full series make a return. The series was made for the Nintendo DS, and the gameplay has been adjusted for a single-screen experience here.
C. Viper in Street Fighter 6 gameplay trailer and more
More outfits, C. Viper gameplay, and one of the oddest crossovers I’ve ever seen are coming to Street Fighter 6. The outfits look great, and C. Viper looks amazing, but a Banshee’s Last Cry crossover? Absolutely no-one expected this. Oh, an original metal song for Street Fighter 6 is coming courtesy of The Cavalera Conspiracy, too, so that’s fun.
Ace Attorney Trilogy gets a big content update
If you’re yet to play through the original Ace Attorney Trilogy, then there’s never been a better time. The game is getting a comprehensive content update, on par with what we’ve seen come to Capcom’s Fighting Collection games. You can even create your own unique scenes, or use Story Mode to get you through the game’s puzzles easily.
Resident Evil 7, 8, and 9 launching on the same day on Nintendo Switch 2
I’m excited to play Resident Evil 9, and I’ll happily revisit 7 and Village (8) on Nintendo Switch 2, but they’re all launching on February 27, 2026. A very weird choice. Regardless, the more we see of Resident Evil 9, the better it looks.
Onimusha: The Way of the Sword new trailer
Onimusha: The Way of the Sword is the game I am personally most excited to play in 2026, and this new trailer shows exactly why. This bold fusion of Japanese history and mythology is appealing enough, but the incredible action and intriguing story? Sign me up. This game looks better and better the more we see of it.
Monster Hunter Wilds X Final Fantasy XIV looks good actually
I don’t know what the robot monster is that they’re fighting in this new crossover trailer, but it looks cool. What looks far better, though, are the variety of outfits and skins available for your Seikret and Felyne. It really captures the spirit of Final Fantasy XIV and doesn’t look out of place in Wilds. This is one crossover I’m excited for. Title Update 4 will come in December, introducing Gogmazios.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 looks good in new trailer
You probably already know if you’re going to play Monster Hunter Stories 3, but seeing this new trailer makes me far more eager to go back and catch up with the RPG spin-off series. It looks incredibly cute, with a fantastically slick and impressive anime visual style.
