Fortnite pulls Peacemaker "swastika" dance emote

As Peacemaker Season Two draws to a close on HBO Max, it's time for some big reveals in the adult-oriented antihero show. It turns out the gang have been exploring the Nazi dimension (apparently that's a different dimension to the one we live in), where the US flag has swastika instead of stars.

Like the first season, the show opens up with the cast performing a choreographed dance. The main characters pull the moves while showing no emotion, just as they did in the first season, except the moves and the song backing the dance are different.

Following the Nazi twist, people have begun to realise that the dance itself hid the twist all along, with the arm movements the cast pull mimicking the shape of a swastika.

Epic Games added an emote of the dance to Fortnite, called "Peaceful Hips", earlier in September, but the company has disabled it following the show's shock twist, refunding players who spent 400 V-Bucks ($3.29) to acquire it.

"We're disabling the Peaceful Hips Emote in Fortnite as we inquire into our partner's creative intentions in this collab emote," Epic Games said on Twitter. "Assuming it's not coming back, we'll issue refunds in the next few days. Sorry folks."

In other news, Fortnite creators will be able to sell in-game items later this year, but maybe not if they're hiding Nazi symbols in them.
