Genshin Impact 5.7, titled Space and Time for You, will be released on June 18, 2025, and looks to be a lore-heavy update that sets major developments in motion for the future of the story.

Version 5.7 brings the annual lore deep dive with Dainsleif on top of two brand-new characters and an assortment of events and system optimizations. It looks like the Abyss is ready to strike Teyvat anew despite its setback in Natlan — and the Loom of Fate, the mysterious device we’ve been investigating with Dainsleif, is finally going online. And what was that about a spaceship?

Genshin Impact 5.7 is set to be released on June 18, 2025, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android.

Genshin Impact 5.7 story & characters
The title’s epic main story continues with the Archon Quest: A Space and Time for You. The Abyss Order resurfaces in Natlan despite its recent losses there, prompting the Traveler and Dainsleif to investigate — and what they find makes even the Twilight Sword jump into the action, giving us our first taste of what he can do in combat.
The update also contains the Skirk Story Quest: Crystallina Chapter – Act 1. After a chance encounter, Skirk helps out the Traveler with a problem only her abilities can solve.
Version 5.7 adds two playable characters to the open-world RPG: 5-Star character Skirk deals Cryo DMG and wields a Sword in battle. Making use of otherworldly powers, she doesn’t need Elemental Energy to power her abilities in combat, instead relying on the teachings of Surtalogi the Foul, her mentor. 4-Star character Dahlia is a support type dealing Hydro DMG and wielding a Sword. Both will be available on the Genshin Impact 5.7 banners alongside some reruns.

Genshin Impact 5.7 will contain the following time-limited and permanent events:
- Battle of Imagined Arrays – auto-chess event; rewards include 4-Star character Sethos and Primogems.
- Fearsome Ferocious Firepower – turret shooting event; rewards include Primogems.
- Reminiscent Regimen: Frenzy – co-op combat event; rewards include Primogems.
- Stygian Onslaught – permanent combat challenge that allows players to farm Artifact Sets; rewards include Primogems and Dust of Enlightenment.
- Traveler’s Tales: Gilded Chapter – fresh character encounters and anecdotes await on the map; rewards include Primogems.
- Overflowing Abundance – double drops from Talent and Weapon domains.
Genshin Impact 5.7 features & changes
Dust of Enlightenment, a brand-new item, allows sub stat rerolls on Artifacts. Players will be able to choose up to two stats to prioritize, hopefully making it easier to produce strong Artifact Sets.
Two additional Envisaged Echo Challenges will be available, allowing players to unlock running traces for Raiden Shogun and Shenhe.
The latest Genius Invokation TCG update will add Mavuika, Citlali, and Chasca as character cards.
On the technical front, the developers have worked on a quest resource management system that allows players to save tons of space when playing on mobile devices. For example, if you only play Genshin on your phone to do your dailies, you can delete practically all the resources needed for story quests. And if you want to play through a story mission after all, the game will download only the resources needed for this specific piece of content.
Additionally, Version 5.7 brings some map, handbook, and Spiral Abyss optimizations as well as the ability to use Fragile Resin directly to claim rewards in domains.
