The next Genshin Impact livestream has been announced and will introduce players to Version 5.8, titled Sunspray Summer Resort.

As is tradition for Version X.8 of the game, this will be your annual summer-themed update with lots of lighthearted fun and leisure time. Going by the artwork, the Traveler will be joined by two fellow vacationers each from Mondstadt and Natlan: Venti and Bennett join from the City of Freedom, while Chasca and Mualani represent the Nation of War.

Genshin Impact 5.8 livestream: what to expect

Although Genshin Impact 5.8 will house this year’s grand summer event, let’s not forget that it’ll be the final version of the game ahead of Genshin Impact 6.0 and the arrival of Nod-Krai — and so we can expect a few related teasers throughout the update itself as well as the livestream.

Nod-Krai will have to be talked about in some form, because Version 5.8’s new character, Ineffa, hails from this part of Teyvat.

HoYoverse already released two Nod-Krai-focused teasers: A preview narrated by Alice and a story teaser formally introducing the Shades and the Fatui’s goals in the region.

Naturally, HoYoverse will drop some Genshin Impact codes for extra resources as well.
