Genshin Impact’s latest player survey is asking spicy questions

HoYoverse is regularly asking its community for feedback via surveys, trying to spot issues and identify areas for improvement — but the surveys are also a place to test the waters on content that may be added in the future. The latest survey for Genshin Impact has generated buzz in the community for asking questions that are a bit spicier than usual.

One question some users have been getting asks how they feel about specific shoe designs for female characters, the options including a “Barefoot” design — a somewhat contested taste, but one HoYoverse has served from time to time, such as with Columbina in the most recent teaser for Nod-Krai.

Another question explores the tastes of players when it comes to themed clothing. Responses include options such as “Swimwear”, “Tennis Outfit”, and “School Uniform”. Fans are always in for more skins, so speculation is already running wild on what HoYoverse might be planning.

Yet another point of the survey asks players for their preferred male body type, the answers on offer being “I don’t care about muscles”, “No muscle”, “Muscular”, and “Very muscular”. From a purely Western perspective, this one’s kind of a no-brainer, but beauty standards are different in other regions, so this is actually valuable data for the developers.
