HSR 3.5 release time and maintenance details

Trailblazer & Co. return to a time “Before Their Deaths” in Honkai: Star Rail 3.5, the upcoming update of the RPG. Following the revelations in Version 3.4, there is one more chance to stop The Destruction’s plans for Amphoreus and unmask the mastermind behind the plot — Lygus.

HSR 3.5 will introduce Hysilens and Cerydra, two Chrysos Heirs of the old guard, bring back a couple of familiar faces, and feature some of our trailblazing friends in all-new forms.

Here are all the details on the Honkai: Star Rail update 3.5 start time and server downtime.

HSR 3.5 – server downtime

The HSR servers are scheduled to go offline on August 13, 2025, at 6am (UTC+8) in preparation for update 3.5. Here’s what that means for your timezone:

The Honkai: Star Rail servers are estimated to be offline for about five hours, after which players will be able to log in once again and start exploring the content of version 3.5.

HoYoverse doesn’t usually need any more time than the scheduled five hours, so here’s when Honkai: Star Rail update 3.5 should be available in your timezone:

Each hour of server downtime will be compensated with 60 Stellar Jades, so expect a total of 300 Jades to come your way. In case maintenance takes any longer than planned or there were bugs in the previous version that affected player experience, another 300 Stellar Jades will be up for grabs.

Make sure to check your in-game mail and claim your compensation inside a timeframe of 30 days following the update — otherwise the currency will be lost.

HSR 3.5 – preload

The preload for Honkai: Star Rail update 3.5 on PC, iOS, Android, and PS5 is already available — this will allow you to download a majority of the files needed to update the game well ahead of time, enabling you to dive back into the action much more quickly when update 3.5 is live.

The download size for updates in HoYoverse games varies depending on the device you play on as well as the language packages you have installed, but here’s how large the files should be on average for Honkai: Star Rail version 3.5:
