Remedy suffers stark revenue and profit decline in financial report for Q3 2025

Expected bad news following the removal of its CEO.

Remedy Entertainment’s financial report for the third quarter of the ongoing financial year is as negative as expected following the removal of its CEO earlier this month: The studio’s revenue went down by 32% compared to the same period last year and its operating loss rose to €16.4 million EUR compared to €2.4m in the same timeframe.

The main culprit behind the bad news is FBC: Firebreak, the company’s co-op shooter released earlier this year. It turned out to be a complete commercial failure and even recent updates were only able to improve its sales “marginally.”

While smaller updates for the game are still in the works, the studio has “moved development resources to our other in-development titles.”

On the bright side, the company has seen higher sales for its existing franchises, Control and Alan Wake.

“We aren’t satisfied with our recent financial performance, but we remain confident in our ability to create great video games that resonate with players and which are commercially successful, leading us back to profitability,” the company stated.

Aside from Control 2 and the Max Payne 1&2 Remake for Rockstar Games, Remedy has one untitled project in the proof of concept phase at the moment.
