Street Fighter movie release date and cast revealed

The brawl begins in October 2026.

The live-action Street Fighter movie is now in production at Legendary Entertainment and Capcom and will be released on October 16, 2026.

According to Variety, it will be the first Legendary production distributed by Paramount under a new deal between the two companies, giving Paramount yet another big video game movie following its contract with Microsoft about making a Call of Duty film.

Director Kitao Sakurai has assembled a sizable cast for the movie, consisting of stars from all over the world:

Set in 1993, Street Fighter will follow Ryu and Ken as they get sucked back into the world of brawling when Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament. They not only have to face the world’s toughest fighters at this competition, but also a lethal conspiracy that will test their bond and make them face their past.
