Wildgate reveals affordable Renegade Edition

A deluxe edition that doesn’t break the bank.
Moonshot Games / Dreamhaven

Deluxe Editions with extra content regularly cost above $100 USD these days, but Dreamhaven and Moonshot Games are going against this trend: The Wildgate Renegade Edition is priced at $49.99 and will launch on the same day as the Standard Edition, only containing cosmetic items as extra content. There is no pre-order bonus – or indeed the ability to pre-purchase – either, so fans needn’t feel forced to put money on the table for an advanced access period or gameplay-related content.

The Renegade Edition will come with alternative skins for all seven Prospectors, all four ship classes, the ship’s helm, probe, probe station, processor, reactor, and turret seat.

Players can purchase this package separately as well, if they decide to go with the Standard Edition first and want to support the game with the more expensive version later. The Standard Edition will cost $29.99 and the upgrade $19.99.

Note that Prospectors and ships have to be unlocked through gameplay first, so purchasing the skins does not mean that you can use them right from the start.

Wildgate will be out on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on July 22, 2025. Moonshot already has an ambitious post-launch roadmap planned for the co-op shooter as well.
