Wuthering Waves 2.4: release date, banners, events, and more

Wuthering Waves fans are in for a major update in June 2025 with Version 2.4 of the game arriving on PC, PS5, iOS, and Android.

WuWa 2.4 will make Cartethiya and Lupa playable, open up the brand-new region of Septimont, make two chapters of the main story available, and introduce a new endgame mode. There will be two spicy summer skins as well with Changli and Carlotta getting ready to hit the beach.

WuWa 2.4 release date and trailer

Wuthering Waves 2.4 is set to be released on June 12, 2025, for PC, PS5, iOS, and Android.

Phase 1, kicking off on June 12, 2025, will feature Cartethiya (Aero, Sword) as a new 5-Star Resonator.

Phase 2, set to begin on July 3, 2025, will bring in the first playable character from Septimont in the form of Lupa (Fusion, Broadblade), another 5-Star Resonator.

Both characters will have signature weapons running alongside them on the weapon banner in their respective phases. Defier’s Thorn, a 5-Star Sword, runs with Cartethiya, while the 5-Star Broadblade Wildfire Mark is Lupa’s running mate.

WuWa 2.4 story

Though Rover has thwarted the recent intrigues in Rinascita, their chief architects – Phrolova and Cristoforo – remain alive and free and have seemingly wasted no time to bring about the next disaster, this time in Septimont.

It looks like Rover will head over there with Cartethiya in tow, arriving in time for a gladiatorial competition called the Agon that is of great importance to Septimont’s people.

Wuthering Waves 2.4 will contain the following time-limited and permanent events:

• Gifts of Grand Opening – login event that grants ten Radiant Tides.
• Gift of Applause – login event.
• The Everglorious Summit – exploration event in Septimont.
• Septimont Travel Atlas – exploration event in Septimont.
• Uncovering Past Heroes – photo event in Septimont.
• All Out! Towards the Peaks of Prestige – Echo combat event
• Lollo Campaign: Verification – commission event.
• Virtual Crisis: Frontier Trials – combat challenge event.
• Banners Never Fall – permanent combat challenge event.

WuWa 2.4 additions and features

Changli and Carlotta get summer-themed Deluxe Outfits in WuWa 2.4, which can be purchased in the shop. Players can also obtain two fresh Phantom Echoes, Cuddle Wuddle and Fae Ignis, as well as a Glider and two Flight cosmetics — one of the latter being available via an event.

Eight brand-new Echoes make their way into the game:

• Lioness of Glory
• Nightmare: Kelpie
• Kerasaur
• Pilgrim’s Shell
• Devotee’s Flesh
• Spectro Drake
• Fusion Drake
• Havoc Drake

These additions will enable two fresh Sonata Effects for Aero and Fusion characters.

Windward Pilgrimage:

• (2) – +10% Aero DMG
• (5) – +10% CRIT Rate and +30% Aero DMG for 10s after hitting a target with Aero Erosion

Flaming Clawpoint:

• (2) – +10% Fusion DMG
• (5) – +15% Fusion DMG for the entire team and +20% Resonance Liberation DMG for the wearer for 35s when they activate Resonance Liberation

Kuro Games will also introduce more in-game guidance on how to build characters and create strong teams with WuWa 2.4. The new Quest Focus Mode will ensure that no “busy” characters will prevent you from doing a quest. Finally, players will get access to some visual filter options, enabling them to adjust how the game looks on top of the existing graphics settings.
