Assassin’s Creed Mirage and 9 Kings lead Xbox Game Pass additions in August 2025

Microsoft has revealed the first wave of Xbox Game Pass additions in August 2025. Joining the library, these games will be available to subscribers on their respective tiers and platforms.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to be available via Game Pass on August 7. The game that brought the series back to its stealthy roots is set in Baghdad and features Valhalla’s Basim as its main character.
Fans of roguelikes and auto-battlers can look forward to Sad Socket and Hooded Horse’s indie hit 9 Kings joining the library. Choose one monarch, build up your kingdom turn after turn, and hold it against the forces of your jealous peers by synergizing their strengths with your own.

- Assassin’s Creed Mirage (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 7
- Aliens: Fireteam Elite (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 12
- 9 Kings (Game Preview) (PC) – August 14
The following games will become available on Game Pass Standard:
- Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Xbox Series X|S) – August 6
- Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Xbox Series X|S) – August 6
- MechWarrior 5: Clans (Xbox Series X|S) – August 6
- Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Xbox Series X|S) – August 6
Xbox Game Pass departures in August 2025 – Wave 1
The following games are leaving Xbox Game Pass this month:
- Anthem (Console and PC) EA Play
- Farming Simulator 22 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Persona 3 Reload (Cloud, Console, and PC)
