No recast for Dainsleif.

There is more good news on the voice acting front for Genshin Impact, as Yuri Lowenthal, the VA of Dainsleif, has been confirmed to return to the game in the upcoming Version Luna II. He paused his work on Genshin Impact during the 2024-2025 SAG-AFTRA strike alongside other voice actors, but didn’t announce that he’d pick the role back up after the strike’s end, as many of his colleagues have. As such, there were some worries among players that Dainsleif would be recast.

With Lowenthal clearly being audible as Dainsleif in the Version Luna II trailer and the credits listing him among the talents, all doubts around the character's future have finally dissipated.

Lowenthal is indeed not the only VA returning to the microphone for Genshin Impact in the next patch: Erin Yvette, who plays Arlecchino, Ashely Bisko, who voices Layla, Zeno Robinson, who acts as Sethos, and Nazeeh Tarsha, who plays Alhaitham, all make their return.

Last year’s birthday event for Nahida was one of the bleaker moments of the voice actor strike for Genshin Impact, casting a shade of bitterness on the emotional in-game event as many of the Sumeru cast members were missing and their characters remained silent. With Sumeru in the focus of the upcoming update’s flagship event once again, history fortunately won’t repeat itself.
